Re: tempo trouble

Tempo applies to the drum machine only. The drum machine has two modes: Pattern mode and Arrangement mode. Pattern mode is not very useful for recording. Who wants just one pattern repeating endlessly while they record? Boring! Arrangement mode is meant for recording. It allows you to use as many pa...

Re: BR Wave Converter...

I have a bunch of backed up stuff from my BR on my hard drive... In "BR format" of course. I am guessing that there is no way to extract wav's from the BR format without first transferring them back to the BR...? What a pain in the a$$! LOL. The BR is awesome except for when it isnt... :) There are...

Try these: GTR P76:ForPiezo GTR P77:Piezo Ld MIC P01:Ag LoCut MIC P03:Ag3B Cmp MIC P05:ForNylon Obviously, the first two are meant for guitars with piezo pickups (popular with acoustic guitars). If your guitar has a magnetic pickup instead, these patches will need some EQ tweaking. I believe the MIC...

Simply press the Track button a second time and the selected stereo pair will change to a single mono track. This is explained on page 41 of the Micro BR manual (left side of the page).

No, that's not the way that the MTK patches are meant to be used. You're just supposed to select the one you like best and use that. The MTK patches are applied when you copy the pair of v-tracks containing your final mix to another pair of v-tracks in Mastering mode. To apply multiple MTK patches, ...

I don't have a Micro BR, so these are just guesses: Ag LoCut - Lo w- Cut EQ meant for micing an A coustic g uitar. Ag3B Cmp - 3 - B and C o mp ressor meant for micing an A coustic g uitar. FarDista - Far Dista nce. Perhaps meant for micing from far away, or for emulating the sound of distant micing....

This is described on pages 108-109 of the Micro BR manual ("Converting audio files to track data (Track Import)"). You'll probably want to record the MP3 onto two tracks rather than one, if you want it in stereo. This can be accomplished by selecting TR12 or TR34 in step 7 on page 109 (that's tracks...

Recording rhythms

Rhythms can be recorded in bounce mode, but you normally shouldn't record them to a separate track. When you do your final bounce/mix down to 2-tracks (stereo), the drums will be recorded in the mix. So there's no need to waste a track on them. Anyway, the drums are stereo. So, if you really wanted ...

Song patches are stored in the file "EFFECTS3.BR1" which is found in each song folder. This file can be shared to exchange custom patches with other users. Just copy it into any song folder, replacing the "EFFECTS3.BR1" that's already there. Be aware that it will replace ALL 120 song bank effects fo...

While the Micro BR is great for its size and price, the other BR models are MUCH better. In terms of value for dollar, I think the BR-600 is the best. It has eight tracks versus the Micro BR's four. It has 26 insert effects versus the Micro BR's 15. Additional effects include: Acoustic Guitar Simula...

Here's a great introduction to BR drum programming: http://www.rolandus.com/uploads/CMS/Downloads/2139/BR600WS02.pdf It's written for the BR-600 but the same principals apply to the entire BR product line, including the Micro BR. - 64Guitars http://www.geocities.com/sixtyfourguitars/BossBr/

The BR drum machine has two modes -- Pattern Mode and Arrangement Mode. Pattern mode just repeats a single pattern until you press the Stop button. To string together a sequence of patterns, you need to put the BR in Arrangement Mode and create an arrangement. See these pages for a better explanatio...
