Noatikl featured in Apptronica Magazine

Postby oldlibmike » Wed Jan 22, 2014 5:34 pm

Hi Folks,
Shameless plug here - I am writing a series of articles on creating iPad music with the Noatikl for iPad release. The first article is now live on the Apple Newsstand in Apptronica magazine - http://apptronica.us.

I'll be going through a somewhat basic piano solo piece with 3 voices and one MIDI channel in the tutorial. Check it out if you can and leave comments online or via my blog below.

Hi Mike,
Do you use Noatikl with BS-16i? If so, may I ask you a question?

EDIT--Never mind. I answered my own question...I had "patch" engaged which was goofing up another app.

Also, congratulations on the Apptronica article!
Best,
T

Glad you got it worked out! I've had mixed results with bs-16i. Seems to depend on what SF2s I load with it. At times it really bogs down the iPad (and this is an iPad Air!).

Thanks,
Mike

Hi Mike,
Have you tried Caustic with Noatikl? I've read questionable things about its midi implementation. Also, I think, if the Korg Gadget gets virtual MIDI ports, that should work well, or great, with Noatikl.
Best,
T
