import my own sound files?

Postby fisherensemble » Fri Nov 04, 2016 5:39 pm

I have Noatikl for Ipad. I'm wondering if I can import my own sound files as opposed to use the ones in the program.

Hi

Noatikl does not support use of WAV files, but it does support use of SoundFont 2 (SF2) files - including your own. SF2 files can contain audio loops and allow a sample to be played when a note is played. Many of the Noatikl template rely on Sounfonts, such as Ambiences Glass Dreams in the IM3_BellsGlasses pak.

The PSE Unit that allows use of SF2 is the Wavetable unit (see: https://intermorphic.com/engine/pse/guide/#tg-wavetable).

There are a number of apps that allow you to create SF2 files, one of these being Polyphone (see: http://polyphone-soundfonts.com/en/).

Hope that helps!

Best wishes

Tim
