Looking for help to get rid of those red cells . . .

Postby ouzoman » Fri Mar 02, 2012 11:57 pm

Greetings,

Old Noatikl user here now exploring what Mixtikl can do - great possibilities. My issue: I am dragging copies of my own .wav files into the User Content folder, these show up within Mixtikl, yet when I choose them as content the cell is always red . . . what am I doing wrong?? Is there a size limitation? Some of my files are 100MB to 200 MB . . .

Any enlightenment would be greatly appreciated.

Hi ouzoman!

Well then, that is rather interesting...!

Is this problem on Mac/Windows, or on your iOS device...?

My best guess is that the WAV file is some sort of sub-variant of WAV that our WAV importer doesn't recognise..!
Is they any info you can provide on what specific format of WAV files they are...?

Best wishes,

Pete

Hi Pete,
Apologies for the missing details . . . this is the 5.0.1.1 desktop version running on a OS X.7.3. I also tried the VST version within Ableton Live and get the same issue.
I believe you are correct in your suspicions though; I am trying to use WAV files generated from my Ableton Live projects. For those of you familiar with Live, every Live project generates a "Samples" folder which captures the audio tracks and associated analysis files. I have not tested WAVs "exported" by Live.

I have confirmed that there's no problems with WAVs from other sources (sample libraries etc.).

A workaround I just found: importing an Ableton Sample WAV into Audacity for example and resaving that WAV fixes this issue on the Desktop Mixtikl . . . now to try that on the VST version . . .

Hi ouzoman!

If you have a **small** :) WAV problem file you could send me at some point, I'd be very interested to take a look, in case there is anything we can do to work-around the issue in some future update!

Best wishes,

Pete
