Hi Pete and Tim,

I've been using Mixtikl since you first released it and this version is the best yet.

For creating ambient landscapes or manipulating loops to create atmospheres, there isn't an application that can compare to Mixtikl. The bonus is that it's very easy and intuitive to use.

You can quote me on that if you like.

Two requests.

1. Any chance of having an Undo feature. Sometimes I'll hit a cell by mistake and wish I could get it back.

2. For the desktop version the audio plug-in is a processor hog. I'm using a 2010 Macbook Pro corei7 and 8gb ram. Latest version of Logic.
The CPU usage meter is full when using Mixtikl as a plug-in. Any chance of getting this fixed or a 64bit version for the Mac.

Keep up the great work guys, I've created a whole bunch of pieces that I'm using as a base for Logic projects. I'll post sometime once I've got them worked out.

Hi!

Many thanks for your feedback, it is greatly appreciated!

If you find the time to do so, would you be kind enough to post a review to the App Store? :)

Future versions are going to support built-in editing of some of the Noatikl parameters; which is going to make it *hugely* more powerful still. :)

Undo: this is actually a real pig to implement, as we'd have to re-engineer most of the user interface. I'm sorry I can't be very useful in my response to that point :(

Very interested to hear that performance is a problem in the Plug-in on your Mac, is that in VSTi or AU format (or both?!)? The VSTi and AU are both 32 bit plug-ins on Mac (I haven't yet made them 64/32 bit, there are always too many things to do!); do you think that the 32-bit mode is what is causing your performance problem?

Best wishes,

Pete

Hi Pete,

Thanks for getting back to me. I'll definitely post a review to the App Store.

Sounds like Mixtikl will get even more generative in the future. :)

No biggie on the undo, will just have to be more careful.

Plug-in is AU. VST is I think trickier to get to work in Logic. I don't know if it's 32bit that's the performance problem. I know that it can't access all the available RAM that 64bit would. Standalone version is no problem, but the plug-in seems to be choking the processor. Weird.

Two other strange things I've noticed.
The Mixtikl plug-in doesn't show up in the Audio Units manager even though I can access it from the channel strip.
Second, the plug-in window is chopped off when the track window opens up. It looks like the top left quadrant is all that shows up. No access to effects on the right side of the screen and all the icons on the bottom.

Hope this helps, let me know if you have any other questions.

Is the new version a free update, or do I have to purchase the software all over again? I know if there were a free update on iPhone, it is automatic, but the standalone version just points me to the original software online to buy.

Curious to know from everyone.

Thanks,

Rick
