Registration and saving problem

Postby volos » Sat Nov 29, 2014 1:39 am

Edit: I managed to register and save a mix after starting mixtikl as administrator

---------------------------------
Hello,
I just bought Mixtikl for windows.
I received the license and after downloading the latest version 6.2.23 64 bit
I entered it successfully and it was activated.
However as i was following the tutorial when I tried to save a new mix I got
the following warning

Mix file save failed

Mix File file save failed
for some reason!

[the word file appears twice in the window]

I exited the program and restarted and it appears it reverted to unregistered version
as it states

you have 30 days remaining ...

also when i try to save the same message
appears as above.

I am using windows 8.1 Pro 64 bit

I suspect this might happen because windows username is in greek letters

HOMEPATH=\Users\mynameingreek

I hope there is a way to easily fix this.

Hi volos,

Many thanks for your post, and sorry to hear about your problem!

Can you please tell me:
- what is your exact user name on your PC
- exactly what the "greek name" is?

I've got a Windows 8.1 Pro 64 bit machine, so should be in a good position to investigate!

Looking forward to figuring this all out for you,

With best wishes,

Pete

Hi!

Just to note that I've tested this on my Windows 8.1 Pro 64-bit machine, and the file saves to the right place on my machine, this is (for example):

C:\Users\Pete_2\Music\Intermorphic\abc.mixtikl

I've mailed you separately with a possible solution - do please let us know how you get on!

With best wishes,

Pete

The new key works and I can save wav and mix files when I run mixtikl as administrator.I changed the shortcut so it starts always as admin.

inside the users folder and saves all files there mix wav and mixtikl configuration files

As the forum doesn't allow images, links, attached files or private messages I have posted a link to an image showing this in my profile.

Hi volos!

So, just so I can be clear - has the new key fixed your primary problem?

The issue of having to run as Adminstrator is something we've had reported - only very rarely - from some other users in the past. It isn't somthing that I've every been able to get to the bottom of!

Best wishes,

Pete

I confirm key registration, saving mixes and exporting wav and midi files work properly now.

Thanks for the prompt response and I have to say that I am impressed by Mixtikl!
I highly recommend it.

Greetings from Greece.

Hi!

From the Noatikl plug-in menu, you simply select:

Help -> Noatikl Product Key

This displays the "Enter ... Product Key" screen, where you enter your key details.

Hoping this helps,

Pete

How to do this is detailed in the Mixtikl User Guide:
http://intermorphic.com/mixtikl/guide/#productkey-info

Specifically:
- Mixtikl 7 Desktop Plugin: from the app Main Menu http://intermorphic.com/mixtikl/guide/#menu select the “Store" button.

Hope the link helps...

Thanks, I will look at it. I was able to register Noatikl stand-alone and Noatikl vst plus Mixtikl stand-alone.
I saw no way on the Mixtikl vst interface to register the vst. I was hoping it would behave like Noatikl vst (window sizable, maximizable, menus, registering, etc.).
