Koan Dark Symphony

Post by Umcorps » Mon Oct 01, 2007 4:37 pm

Koan users with a good memory may recall that, in 2003, Tim Didymus curated a huge Koan retrospective at the Ars Electronica. There was quite an extended write up about this in the old Yahoo group here http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/inte ... essage/930

Tim made recordings from the outputs of the four Koan engines used for this presentation and, for some time now, he and I have been working on creating a surround mix (Dark Symphony) using these recorded extracts.

At some stage in the future we may finally get to the point where we can make these widely available but, in the interim, we have posted extracts of these mixes in plain old stereo at YouTube.

Please remember to check out the "credits" movie. That contains a list of all the brilliant musicians who contributed Koan works to this retrospective and whose work appears at some stage in Dark Symphony.
