Maybe moving to Desktop...

Post by ltf3 » Fri Mar 23, 2018 10:57 pm

Hi

Given up on midi routing in iOS ... ugh.

If I switch back to Wotja on the Desktop on Mac, under 10.12 ( probably 10.13 soon) I have a couple of questions.

1: will OSX Wotja present it’s MIDI channels as separate MIDI ports to a DAW like Cubase so I can use VST Instruments as sound sources and record MIDI ?

2: will Wotja on the Desktop be a MIDI clock slave? Or if not, can it generate MTC?

3: Any chance the desktop version can host AU / VST Instruments? Pretty sure not, but Soundfonts just don’t work for me.

Thanks

That is what we're working towards, but we haven't got anything specific to announce yet...

2: will Wotja on the Desktop be a MIDI clock slave? Or if not, can it generate MTC?

We're hoping that we'll be able to add support for that at some point, but we haven't got anything specific to announce yet...

3: Any chance the desktop version can host AU / VST Instruments? Pretty sure not, but Soundfonts just don’t work for me.

At this point, we have no plans for Wotja to be a host for AU/VST instruments.

Best wishes,

Pete
