audio from BR to audacity

Postby dunnep4 » Mon Feb 14, 2011 10:01 am

Hello,

I have recently purchased a BR and have recorded a few tunes but I cant transfer the recorded songs into audacity. I tried importing all of the files in the BR song folder as raw data without success. I know I can record a song as an MP3 but I want to just transfer the audio data itself. Am I being really stupid here? I'd love some advice as this is driving me crazy!

Thanks

P

Pretty sure the raw data is Boss proprietary data, and can only be "read" (and played back) by Boss equipment. You will need to convert to WAV or MP3. Boss has a neat utility for the PC that will convert tracks to WAV. The manual talks about how to convert on the BR to MP3. Good luck.

A very helpful website for boss BR series users http://songcrafters.org/64guitars/BR/ This man has covered so much ground with his research and you will most likely find your answer there if you have not already.
